Alec Newcomb

Alec Newcomb, Vice President Business Development

Alec is an Internet veteran with experience including MTV Networks, Lycos, and two Internet start ups. Alec was the Director of Search & Navigation at Lycos where he led the team that managed the Home Page of Lycos, Search, and Directories which represented 80% of Lycos.com’s traffic. He has more than 10 years of sales and product marketing experience with companies such as Bosch, LexiQuest, and MTV Networks. Alec spent his early career at MTV Networks where he worked in Market Development and was responsible for building alternate technology markets for MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon. Charles Rutanhira Charles Rutanhira, Business Development Project Manager

Charles has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with double majors in Information Systems and Business Management from Rhodes University, South Africa. Charles spent the early part of his career building experience in IT Consulting and Business Analysis and then spent 5 years in Application Support and Project Management in the Financial Services industry. Charles currently serves as a Project Manager for MyWebLink, and also started and manages the Ad Operations department. Under his supervision, the MyWebLink Ad Network has doubled in the last 6 months and is projected to double again by the end of the year. Go to Charles with any questions on our advertising network!

Rebecca Roose Rebecca Roose, Product Manager

Rebecca Roose is the Product Manager in the User Acquisition Group for MyWebLink. She is in charge of managing MyWebLink’s social networking sites and the foundation tool sets that make online grocery work . Rebecca brings over 10 years of marketing and interactive marketing experience from companies such as Burton Snowboards and K2 Inc. She has a passion for usability and online tools that make life easier, and calls the potential of the Internet the “Plastics of our generation.” Refer to Rebecca when you need some information on social networking and new fun online grocery features!

Rachel Rothenburg Rachel Rothenburg, Senior Ad Operations Coordinator

Rachel is a recent graduate of Boston University’s College of Communication where she majored in Advertising and Political Science. Rachel has eight years of experience in an array of industries, most recently in advertising, sales and promotion. She has worked at Clear Channel and Modernista!, among others, where she was part of the HUMMER account team during the launch of the new H3 Alpha. Rachel is the Ad Ops Coordinator at MyWebLink where she enjoys growing the ad network daily. Her insight in what’s going on in the online advertising world is crucial to pay attention to.

Courtney Musella Courtney Musella, Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator

Courtney is a graduate of Champlain College where she obtained a BS in Marketing with a concentration in Management. Out of college she worked in the newspaper and radio media and now joins the internet industry. Courtney utilizes her marketing skills as the Public Relations Coordinator, focusing her efforts on media relations, brand and industry awareness, sales support, and press press press! Courtney’s previous work experience includes Classified and Retail Sales Support at The Burlington Free Press as well as Marketing Account Executive at Sison Broadcasting of Colchester, Vermont. Scot Barker, Director of Customer Services

As the head of the Account Management group at MyWebGrocer, Scot concentrates on bringing more value to our customers and helps them to more successfully make use of our service offerings. Scot has spent the better part of the last 12 years working with customers in the technical arena of various industries. Starting right after graduate school, Scot led an implementation team installing publication management tools in newspapers and magazines. From there he moved into the world of general information technology support at a medical informatics company, where he created and ran a first and second level internal help desk supporting over 4000 machines and their owners. He went back into newspaper, magazine and catalog publishing serving as the vice president and director of Customer Support for an international software company based in the Netherlands. He brings all these experiences, his thirst to apply new knowledge and his drive to bring value to the customer to MyWebGrocer. Scot holds a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s degree in higher education administration. When it comes to bringing the best to our clients, Scot is the “go-to” guy!

Dave Dec, Senior Communications Specialist

Responsible for training development, documentation and delivery, Dave has trained hundreds of MyWebGrocer retail customers. Dave has over 20 years of training experience in many industries teaching students across North America, the Pac Rim, and Europe. He is a current and past member of many associations including the Internet Engineering Task Force, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and the American Society for Training and Development. Dave is a certified Dale Carnegie coach, on the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Vermont, and a published poet and writer. When it comes to online grocery shopping Dave makes it happen!
