Tip of the Month: In-store Marketing
We recently visited Big Y Markets and noticed some great in store marketing. To promote their online grocery shopping feature, BigY2GO, they placed signage on the personal shopper’s carts. While the personal shoppers are out fulfilling orders, curious on-looking customers are known to ask them about the signs. This is a great way to promote the service through out the stores. The signs generate a “buzz” around the store and their online program. Great way to market with visuals Big Y!
Industry News: The online grocery industry is growing rapidly. This growth can be contributed to the rising price of gasoline. Research shows that one third of U.S. adults that are online are more likely to shop online rather than in-store due to the high price of gasoline.
